Looking for mail washer app

Does anyone know software what cleans quote marks from mails? Like this:

A cold March wind danced around the dead of night in Dallas as the Doctor
walked into the small hospital room of Diana Blessing. Still groggy from
surgery, her husband David held her hand as they braced themselves for the
latest news.

I also tryed to find Thunderbird extension for it, but no luck.

I just tried Kmail
Under the Edit there is a Replace command
In the Find: field enter >
In the Replace with: just leave it BLANK
Then Click on "Replace All"
It should remove all the >

Most e-mail editors should have this option
