I read a review for Fedora Core 6 recently. The first image struck me as a nice feature. Is anyone familiar with the tool for it and is it open source? I'm sure it is simply a 3D viewer for virtual desktop, and I'd love to have it on Kubuntu. It wouldn't be enough for me to leave Kubuntu for a RPM based distro (as I left RPM for Kubuntu), but it still would be a great tool to have.

Re: 3D desktop tools?
Hi,
Yes, it's Xgl and beryl (previously known as compiz) you should make a search about this in the ubuntu forum as there's more users who tried it...
There's also a forum on http://forum.beryl-project.org/
Hope it helps
