    Sleeping Mouse

I've just installed Kubuntu and everything seems to go well, exept this:
About every 5 minutes, while I'm working, the pointer freezes, and the only way I've found to make it work is to unplug the USB cable and then plug it in again, so that I can work peacefully for other 5 minutes.
My mouse is a Logitech Pilot Optical.
I've said the "pointer" freezes because the mouse itself seems to continue working: the optical led is on and, when I move it, the light became stronger (as usual) .
I've installed WindowsXP too (from which I'm trying to get away) and the mouse works perfectly on it.
    Thanks for any answers.

Had you searched the Forums, you would have found this thread which (amazingly enough), really does involve the SAME problem that you are reporting. Just goes to show there's a first time for everything.
