Adding a keyboard layout

I was wondering if there was a way to add a keyboard layout to the list in the Settings.
I like being able to choose between QWERTY and Dvorak keyboard layouts (since different people use the computer), but it gets rather confusing for everyone when it always says "US" with the US flag. Is there a way to change it to say something else?

You can easily set the label for a keyboard variant in Kcontrol/SystemSettings>Regional&Accessibility>Keyboard Layout

Set the label for dvorak to (for example) 'dv' to get 'dv' instead of 'us' on the flag.
