Does kubuntu address the new spectre vulnerability?

I was reading this and got concerned: https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/new...ed-spectrersb/

I just installed kubuntu 18.04 and have had no major problems yet.

This seems like a sneaky kind of attack. I checked /proc/cpuinfo on my system to see if I am protected and under the bugs listing there is "cpu_meltdown spectre_v1 spectre_v2 spec_store_bypass"

This new attack hunts SGX routines which sounds like it's harder to catch or stop. Am I worried too much?

Updated my Persistent LiveUSB Kubuntu 18.04 stick yesterday and saw the spectreV2 files come down.
