I have a question that is more of an academic exercise. Not sure if it’s possible to do, but want to broaden my skills and I’m up to this particular challenge.
At work I was given an obsolete laptop to do what I want with, that has the following conditions.
1) Admin password on BIOS (nobody knows the password)
2) USB and CD Boot is disabled in BIOS
3) Has a Windows 10 account that we can’t log into. Don’t care about the data.
So is it possible to load Kubuntu on this? Maybe clone the drive from another image? Or is it a brick?
I was going to let my son tear it apart so he can study for his A+ certification, but getting something to run on it would be fun.
Again I don’t care about the data on it. In fact I prefer for it to be wiped out. At this point I just want to see if it can be done or not.
