A year or so ago there was a thread about mono/ubuntu/windows links and I, among others, removed all *mono* stuff from my kubuntu rig.
I just looked and there still seems to be a lot of **mono** stuff still in the ubuntu repositories.
Can one of the Kubuntu gurus please give an update on the current situation concerning the mono-ubuntu-windows connection, following Jonathan's resignation. What's going on in Shuttleworth's financial brain? Is Kubuntu safe? I've installed Debian 8.2 KDE version on a spare partition "just in case", but I really hope my association with Kubuntu since Breezy Badger will continue. I think everyone involved with kubuntu should be thanked over and over again.
