Hello everyone!
I have been using Kubuntu for quite a long time now. Previously I used to run Ubuntu and Xubuntu. In those distros I have used iBus to write in Bangla language. (Bangla is also known as "Bengali".)
For doing this I have used ibus-m17n. It had "unijoy (m17n)" layout which I am fond of. It was just a matter of running:
...then setting up through ibus-setup.
(I used these instructions for setting up ibus)
But fcitx does not seem to work. I have installed fcitx-m17n and got fcitx running on my System tray. But I don't have any idea where to go from here.
Now I want to write Bangla using fcitx in Kubuntu. I have tried with ibus, but KDE does not seem to respect ibus for every program. I'm using Kubuntu 15.10, 32bit.
So, how can I write in Bangla, using unijoy layout with fcitx?
Thanks for helping, in advance.
