    had to install win7

I had to install win7 back on the computer. Looking into work at home opps and they all want a win7 or above computer. Since I completely despise win8 and don't really know win10, I put win7 back on. Course, still have dual-boot with kubuntu so I can use a real OS when not working

You may find that the work you do is browser based, and may not really need Windows, despite the requirements, if they support Chrome or Firefox. Of course, if it is call center stuff, it probably requires Windows, and I have seen some of those specifically state that it can't be via a VM

I did actually see one place that actually used a custom live linux distro, but that was a couple of years ago, and can't remember what it was, or if it was legit sounding or not.

The problem has been weeding out the scams from the legit. If it says make $1000 a day or more, I just pass it on by. $100 a day I might look at .

I'd wager even 100 bucks in a day is not too common - not impossible, depending on skillsets, of course, and how much time each day one works.

I work for Lioinbridge as a second job doing search assessment tasks. it pays OK, but I couldn't do it full-time. (attention span of a baby gnat).
A few people suggested rat race rebellion as a good source, that's where I found the job.

I recently did a resume for someone who said she was targeting ODesk (to provide her freelance IT services). ODesk seems to have changed its name rather recently:

              https://www.upwork.com/

Looks legit. She tells me her boss at regular work makes a good monthly income from ODesk clients who use his services (she has been his sub doing some of the low-skill tasks on his contracts). From low-skill clerical all the way on up. Seems to be international (providers and listings).

Oops. I thought this was your freelance thread! Oh well.
