For some reason, moun discover won't install synaptic package manager. It won't even show it as an option when typed in the search box. It actually shows muon package manager instead. I don't know if this is a bug or just underhanded tactics. I generally use apt-get to install synaptic, so haven't noticed this until yesterday. I was helping a friend and told him to install synaptic with whatever package manager he had installed (muon discover). If you search for something it should show up if available instead of showing what I believe is someone else's opinion of what I should be using. I really hope this is just a bug. Does anyone have any info on this?

In 14.04, my Muon shows Synaptic (Graphical Package Manager)and offers the option to install. Does this depend on repositories enabled? An intellectual says a simple thing in a hard way. An artist says a hard thing in a simple way. Charles Bukowski

Added: I see you are using Muon Discover. I'm using Muon Package Manager (which you can install using your Muon Discover). An intellectual says a simple thing in a hard way. An artist says a hard thing in a simple way. Charles Bukowski
