Ok - I am using 4.2.6.3 and Build ID 420m0 (Build:3) and HPLIP 3.14.3.
I downloaded the 'fix' ppd and got the options relating to duplex but nothing actually printed even though system said print job completed. I removed the printer and re-installed and now all working ok. I think perhaps some 'clutter' was in the way and removing and re-installing sorted that out. I assume the 'ppd fix' has worked and the set-up also recognised the USB connection relating to a choice of files given to me during set-up so that was the one I chose. Anything more complicated than this will/does go over my head!
