    Upgrading 14.04 to 14.10 - not working

Doesn't look like there's a 14.10 board yet, or did I miss it?

In any event, the do-release-upgrade from 14.04 to 14.10 fails miserably, with too many unmet dependencies. Has anyone got this to work, and if so, any hints? I REALLY don't want to spend 2 weeks manually installing and configuring a new install after having just gone through that for 14.04. Looks like the problem is mostly kde stuff; I've read something about a "next" ppa; is this something needed for the transition?

    Thanks.

Generally (I think) we don't open a board for a new release until it reaches Beta based on the Release Schedule.

My experience is that installing an alpha or beta via an iso burned onto a CD is much better than upgrading ...

Unfortunately, also useless. I did that for the LTS, took me about 3 weeks to get everything reinstalled and configured, and I'm still finding missing things. Well maybe it's just too early to do this, but in times past, it has worked at this stage (or earlier).

Just wanting to see if anyone HAS gotten it to work...

Wow! You must have a complicated and packed installation. It usually takes me about an hour to add to a fresh install all the bells and whistles that I want.
