[SOLVED] Updates Fail

We've three machines in this office running Kubuntu 14.04 and all three have run into problems where the updates fail because the files (deb pkgs) cannot be found --404 error. This has been happening over the last few weeks. What's the problem?

The latest failure --only few minutes ago. Error message (partial) is posted below.

Sounds like you haven't updated your package cache -- the files you listed have been replaced with newer versions. Did you run sudo apt-get update before trying to upgrade?

After rummaging around the system on this machine, which had very fresh install, the logical place to look of course was the package/update manager. I changed the download source from "server for the United States", which was apparently the default choice, to "Main Server." Has worked flawlessly since and I'm a hap[y camper once again. Thanks for your help.
