NASA APOD Comic Strip widget not working

HI there
This is a strange one
The APOD comic strip widget works on my laptop but it doesn't work on my desktop
Both are running QQ 12.10 but only difference is laptop is a wubi install
The same widget works fine for Dilbert on both machines so don't understand why APOD is a problem on just the desktop?
Any ideas??
