I am not sure how to report this problem. There is a problem with the memory tester on the boot menu on the Kubuntu 12.10 release.
I am new Kubuntu. I downloaded the 12.10 iso and created the DVD. I booted up. I ran memtest from the menu that appeared. It reported extensive errors during test #7 on 3 separate memory modules on 2 different AMD (Gigabyte MB) PCs.
I downloaded memtest86+ 4.20 from memtest.org and reran the tests. All modules/simms reported no errors on any tests. So I think there is problem with the 4.20 version included with the downloaded iso image. FYI I did the md5 checksum and it was fine.
This is what I downloaded.
kubuntu-12.10-desktop-i386.iso
Please let me know who or how to properly report this. It should be an easy fix.
Thank you
