This has been a "thing" that randomly happens after a restart, has happened only with Kubu. Using my work machine Kubu 11:10.
I get;
can't activate swap
then it attempts to go forward
initctr1=event failed
starting nsdns-sd ok
starting network connections ok
starting cups printing spooler server ok
then it stalls.
I can fix the problem by going through fail safe and then choosing to repair the file structure and then things are functional.
This is on my work hard drive, not a usb install.
Since I leave the machine on continually, I don't know that I need a "fix" for it, but it might be something to look at in the next release.
