    Theme for Gimp-2.8

This is a long shot, but...

    Gimp-2.8 works great, downloaded from:

    sudo add-apt-repository ppatto-kesselgulasch/gimp
    sudo apt-get update
    sudo apt-get install gimp

Only thing is this: gtk-2 themes no longer work, it needs gtk-3.
Newer gtk3 themes use a different scheme than the gtkrc file,
which is what gimp still uses. Older ones still have gtkrc files, and work fine.

Anyone know of a gtk-3 dark orange theme (like what is used by darktable) that
will work for gimp-2.8? The old gtk-2 clearlooks-orange does not work.

    Precise repositories have Gimp 2.6.

Hey Kubuntu/Ubuntu/Debian packagers (not necessarily in that order):

Gimp 2.8 -- single frame! We want it!

Don't count on it. Policy as I understand it is that Precise will stay with the version it shipped with. 2.8 (and hopefully 2.10) might show up in the backports repository eventually. In any event, using the ppa in my original post, gimp and gimp-plugin-registry install and work just fine. Except for the lack of a decent theme.
