There's a preference config window where you can change many aspects. I'm not sure the file picker is included. Sorry, but I can't check now.

You can twiddle Preferences and ~/.mozilla/firefox//mimeTypes.rdf to set an association of "file" to "dolphin", but the picker itself remains the FF dialog.

        In about:config go to

        Code:
        ui.allow_platform_file_picker
        and change the value to

        Code:
        false
        This worked for me.

I thought it used to use the full KDE file picker and not what looks like a Qt one. Been a little while since I regularly used Firefox, though.

This type of file picker is what I thought I remembered it to be.

Well, the latter is what I got as I applied the change in about:config and is the same that all the other application have on a stock kubuntu 12.04. The only added xpi was, then, oxygen-kde.

But maybe you were taking about something different from this. Memories of good old 3.5 & konqueror are fading from my old brain cells.

So this is a purely aesthetic thing. It does not integrate firefox more into KDE?

I must apologize for you were quite right there. Yesterday, as I opened my 701 where my only - so far - 12,04 lives, I was dismayed to realize the other time I was either too tired & sleepy or drunk - you choose! LOL! - to see correctly. Maybe I had one too many file pickers open as I was testing.

                              Sorry, mate!
