A few days ago I decided to see whether I could adapt to Activities.
... go ahead, I shall wait as some of you will vent your spleen thusly: "No! Computers always adapt to humans, not the other way around!" ...
Mostly, my recent discovery of [Meta]+[Tab] as Activity switcher accelerated my desire to learn. That, and a protracted fight with my Nook Color as I try to find a way to keep the newest 1.4.2 version rooted and customized without factory-resetting itself. So while I fuss with that, I needed an easy-to-use reader. I have set up my first Activity! It keeps Calibre reader open, to my current book, has a completely black background, and the analog clock widget in the upper right corner.
So virtual desktops are out, Activities are in, and we'll see how it goes.
