    OpenOffice Extensions...

    Hi all...

I just tried clicking on the "find new extensions" feature on OpenOffice's extension manager only to find myself redirected to LibreOffice's website. Are their extensions compatible with OpenOffice? If not, is there a site that still has Open Office extensions?

    Thanks!

      Hi Steve...

Try clicking on the individual extensions.

Yup, exactly as one would expect:

        Because, practically, OpenOffice is dead.

As for extension compatibility, that page on libreplanet.org says:
Most extensions work with both LibreOffice and OpenOffice.org applications.
so it's worth a shot. Download a few and check.

At one point sometime in the recent past, I was able to get to some of those OO pages by refreshing a few times, of you want to dig in there.

            Hi all...

Fortunately, I hadn't emptied the trash on my other system. I was able to save to a USB stick the majority of extensions I had installed on that system when the OpenOffice extensions site had not yet been taken down. I don't think I will be able to get the rest unless I find a site that happens to offer them for download.

I now consider this matter solved.

            Thank you for your help.

Heh, now that's using your noggin! Perhaps I'll learn from this to be a bit less tidy and not empty my trash so much
