    In your defense, I think it was perfectly logical to check the batteries in the mouse first. Whenever I am working on a lengthy project I have gotten in the habit of clicking the "Save" button every couple of minutes.

      I tend to prefer wired equipment for this very reason, not that wired equipment can't go bad either. It's just that this is a set of problems I'm able to avoid along with having to buy batteries every month.
