How do I remove the trashcan folder from my SD card?

I noticed that when I delete something from either my SD card or USB drive a trash can folder is created. How can I prevent this or remove it so that it does not take up storage space? I get an error message every time I try to delete it.

    Thanks.

Yes, it is the wanted action:

Don't use the move to the trash (Del) use the delete (Shift-Del).

    Configuring the Dolphin:
Settings > Configure Dolphin > General; Context Menu-tab: Show "Delete" command
Settings > Configure Shortcuts (Delete vs shortcut to Trash)

I get an error message every time I try to delete it.
    It ? The hidden ".Trash-UID / .Trash-1000" directory ?
What is the error message ?
    Have you tried ?

"It ? The hidden ".Trash-UID / .Trash-1000" directory ?" The it is the trash directory / folder. The error message was something like I was not allowed to remove / delete the director. I will have to try it again and get back to you.

Thanks for the information on how to use the shift+del to remove the file and not just move it to trash. I will also check my settings in dolphin and make the needed adjustments.

Thanks again for the help, much appreciated.
