I just put 1 section of the cpuinfo in hear but it's cpu-0-3 2 hiperthred cores.

    and 4 Gig's of RAM

however it has this wireless chip
    Network controller: RaLink Device 5390
whitch as farr as I can tell is to new and one must compile the driver one's self.

what I'm looking for is suggestions on compiling the wireless driver and how to get all the RAM used (the ubuntu-live USB-10.04 32 bit) only shows 3Gig's of RAM being used.

I was going to use this guide for the wireless driver setup.

I would like any suggestions or beter wireless guides and thoughts on 64 bit maby....

    Thank you

        Re: HP-G62 suggestions !!

Sweet .......after the updates finished rolling off I followed the instructions in that link and made the rt5390sta driver and modprobed it in 8)

the wireless is working fine now it seames and all is good in HP-G62 land

I guess switching to 64 bit got the 4Gigs of RAM recognized and so far so good..........
