I just installed KDE 4.7 all is working well, however, the cashew in the upper right hand corner of my desktop screen now shows "unnamed" . How do I go about naming the thing / desktop item.
bring up the activity selector (the 3 colored dots on ur panel).
click the wrench for the activity you wish to name and it will be editable (both name and icon) , be sure to unlock widgets first.

I think you may be on to something. In my younger years I do recall a rock band called "Slippery When Wet". So "Unnamed Cashew" would not be that far out there.
Was that an album or a band? Because ther is an album called "Slippery When Wet" by Bon Jovi (~1987 IIRC)
