    internet quits

    I just loaded Kubuntu 11.04 64bit to replace a ailing hard drive with win 7,

    when I start, I can open a browser. either the defult one, or firefox. and get a first, perhaps a second page, then it just spins...if I reboot, I get the same thing...you will have to be gentle with me, I am used to everything just working, with windows, so trouble shooting stuff like this is weird for me...I tried to change the proxy setting to auto, from no proxy, and that hasn't changed anything..I don't want to mess with too much, without asking...any ideas? thanks

    also, could be the problem 11.04? should a new user be using ver 10? I put ubuntu, on a different machine, and the browser seem fine, but I think that is 11.04 ubuntu, with gnome? maybe I am using the wrong version.

        a update, I rebooted machine, and tried updates. only one was a flash update, that downloaded, and installed. now the internet stays up, so far anyway..could flash have caused this? I am pretty confused right now...anyway, I hope this is solved, and I can move on to something more productive, such as trying to get Photoshop working...this will be the deal maker...Gimp just isn't there yet, as far as I can see, Hugin is sweet though...but that is cross platform? anyway, thanks anyway

          thanks for the response, but I think the issue has fixed it self? that is kind of scary, I would rather found I was doing something wrong...
