    looking for an application

    https://launchpad.net/audio-recorder

Great GTK+ application. However it's biggest downfall is that it is GTK+. I generally stick to QT applications, is there a QT version of this specific one or one that is just as good if not better?

RecordMyDesktop (http://recordmydesktop.sourceforge.net/about.php) will record any audio currently playing while you record. Whether it's through your mic or from an application... it's main intent is to do a audio/video recording, but it also will do just pure audio.

I personally haven't used the GTK+ Audio Recorder, so this is just a suggestion if you haven't looked at it before.

    Cheers!

Thank you for the quick response. I have tried both but much prefer the GTK version for now because of the automatic features it has. It is nice though to have something for my QT only machine. Idk why I am anal about keeping things QT only, GTK applications on KDE just look so out of place for me, so on my laptop its all QT as I use that most of the time. Again thank you
