Re: Docks in Kubuntu - ideas and input

    Hi dequire

The information about the rewrite is indeed good to hear for two reasons.

    a) Daisy is artistically different than the other docks and that will attract people who don't like the "normal" configuration.
    b) Competition is a good thing!

A re-write might be nice, for I as of yet cannot figure out how to get it to show over opened windows. Its beyond frustrating, for if I have to minimize everything, and I move my mouse to the button that allows me to minimize everything, its right beside the KMenu, so I might as well use that to start new applications. Hrm..as long as it can show up over other windows when hovered on, I'll be happy with it, for I like everything else.

Just to add my 2cents. I have also tried daisy.
It is nice but a few things bother me. I can't change the order of the launchers and since I like my dock on the side of the screen every window covers the dock when open. Also I would like to get the lancelot starter into the dock.

For now I just use a new panel on the side and populate it as needed.

Edit: also the launchers don't show the right side up when docked on a side.
