This question has been in the back of my mind for a long time now, and I've not found a good solution: I want a way to search many sites and locations at one time with a result that would be easy to manipulate, sort and view.
So, for example, I would like to search a personal blog, my bookmarks (in Chromium or Firefox), Google search engine and maybe even my local files -- but I only want to make one single entry. The result, I have thought, would be shown in my default browser. Many years ago when using Windoze, there was something that I used to do something similar to this (I believe it was Copernic??).
I had hoped that the new KDE indexing system would have this capability, but so far I haven't seen this... Does someone have a suggestion on how this could be done?
