Hi there,
I am not that into Linux, so for installations related to the system, I prefer to use those GUI supported package managers (like Synaptic...).
Now, when I first insalled Skype, everything was fine. After some time passed, my voice recorded there was low pitched and distorted in output.
Now, I googled for it and found that some ther people had the same problem and solved it by updating their ALSA drivers. I have got the version 1.0.20.
I found that there are newer versions but my package managers do not show me them since they are not in the default online repositories.
Sure, I could download the new version from the ALSA webpage and install it by hand, but i am always a little bit ware doing that because from time to time strange things happen when I do this (something I do wrong). So, I wondered, i there are any special online repositories that include the new ALSA versions, so I could add them to my sources.
Thanks in advance,
urrghs
