Make Firefox faster than Chrome

Here is a link to a tip on making firefox faster.

I tried this out and it does seem to work.
I first made a backup copy of the prefs.js file before doing this.

are you using Kubuntu?

I looked for a prefs.js and couldn't find it.

the file prefs.js is in ~/.mozilla/firefox/<SOMELETTERS>.default

You might try installing findutils, then open a terminal and type sudo updatedb and then locate prefs.js

Or in dolphin select view show hidden files then navigate to .mozilla, firefoxz, xxxxxxx.default
