Gday
I have been using ubuntu for a wail now, and trying to jump ship to kubuntu the only problem I have is my telstra mf626 wireless broadband modem to work .(Hate to say it worked strait off the bat in ubuntu). Ok this is what I have done so far.
1. broke my last install opps ( tried to use gnome apps in kde not good )
2. fresh install nothing done except connect to the home wireless router ,updates and post this
3. plugged in the modem and get a green then blue light on and a mobile phone icon in my system tray . Hover over it and it says "not connected". I plugged the modem in before start up ,before login and logged in a number of times (just a note here is a usb icon in the system tray that says "no devices plugged in")
4. I manually put settings in knetwork manager
Connection name telstra next G
Number #91*
username Telstra
APN internet.telstra
type any
I got these settings from gnome
5. I have attached a log file from when I plug it in
