USB LInux on PS2 scph 9001

I was wondering if it's possible to get any linux distro on to a usb or cd and boot it on the slim ps2 model scph 9001.

I also have a PS2. I looked a bit around, and didn't find anything interesting. There used to be a Linux kit about 7 years ago:

My conclusion after searching is that it's not worth the effort. The PS3 does run Linux, it is more of a complete computer. It even has a Sony tool that allows you to load Linux (that was nice of them). The only issue is the arch: PPC. This means, open source software is fine, but I think there is no Flash from Adobe (I think the open source players run ok, but they still have ways to go to play youtube, Hulu, et al flawlessly), and probably not skype. I'll keep an eye on this, and maybe get a PS3 for the kids when the prices drop and get it to double as a HDTV PC.
