Acer 5735 Linux Drivers ?

Ok, after losing faith in vista i started looking for an alternitive OS i plan to download kubuntu and install it on my Acer Aspire 5735 laptop and was womdering what drivers i need as Acer don't seem to support linux at all any help would be appreciated.

Linux brings all (most) of the drivers it needs with the kernel.

Get yourself the latest stable (jaunty 9.04) livecd and test in on your laptop.:
http://www.kubuntu.org/news/9.04-release

You may have a problem with wifi.
Google is your friend in that case.

It would seem this laptop has intel 5100 wireless which according to posts on the ubuntu forum works out of the box from intrepid. So with a bit of luck you might not have too many issues but as fintan recommends try it out on a live basis first.

thanks alot for your input dudes and yeah i'll try a live cd first and see how things go.
