    Cisco vpn on Kubuntu

I'm using cisco vpn "4.8" on kubuntu 6.06. I'm able to connect to my work, access the network and do stuff.

After a few minutes, I'm not able to access any other system in the company's network by it's hostname but using IP address to connect to other machine works.

    i.e.,
    ping hostname doesn't work
    ping IP address works

I previously had fedora core 5 and things worked fine on it.
Anyone knows any ways to fix this?

    thanks 'n advance....

It seem like you dns server is change to the public. Try cat /etc/resolv.conf, and give me the result.

      thanks for your reply

you're right. I did check the resolv.conf and it points to the ISP's nameservers.

But they were pointing to my work nameservers initially after vpnconnect

what is the solutions for this?

      thanks again....
