    Karmic - A few observations

I am testing kamic alpha1 and am very pleased over all.

After a few issues with installation discussed here:
    http://kubuntuforums.net/forums/inde....msg182490#new
    articles #12 - #13

The new features in kde4.3 are amazing and useful.
some of which can be found here:
    http://www.itnewstoday.com/?p=389

    and here:
    http://kubuntuforums.net/forums/inde...opic=3104113.0

    A few things are missing:
    - Admin in system settings
    - auto load of cd's / usb sticks
    - vmware player doesn't like the kernel

But this is alpha and so far very stable and faaaaaast.

If that is a 2.6.29 kernel, you need the VMWare patch here:

    http://communities.vmware.com/thread/203231

It work on my sidux 2.6.29 kernel.
