    Nokia E71 and 5800 support

I was wondering if anyone has any experience using either a Nokia E71 or a 5800 with Linux.

One important feature I am interested in is using my phone to play and record mp3 during lectures that I will be giving.

    1. I would like to be able to treat the phone as a usb drive. (ie cp file.mp3 /mnt/phone/).

    2. Ideally I would like to be able to quickly make a playlist out of a list of mp3 files. (Not Linux related)

    3. least important but helpful would be to have the ability to set the phone on the lectern and record. (Not Linux Related)

Any insights appreciated on either of these models.

    Thanks,
    Frank

With my n95 it just plugs in as a usb drive... you just have to make sure on your phone that you select data mode instead of pc suite mode when the phone asks after you plug the cable in.

      Thanks wrender,

That's good news. And thanks for the heads up on the "data mode instead of pc suite mode."
