Installed a lexmark X1150 printer on Vista Desktop, installed kubuntu on Desktop and Laptop, set it to share printer, booted up kubuntu on Desktop done a printer configuration for the lexmark printer, but when i press print in word it dose not print it, can some one please help me

First of all, the very best place to look for information about printing with Linux is The Open Printing Database. When possible, you should check the database before getting a printer. Unfortunately, the news is mixed. The printer works perfectly, but the Linux driver is not yet included in the standard foomatic package. At best, you can use alien to convert the driver from a rpm package package to a deb.
It's a little late to tell you this, but (some people think) HP provides the best Linux support for printers. I am not a stockholder
