Re: Forum was done for several days
It seems to have been a technical glitch that no one noticed. I filled out the contact form at http://www.smfforfree.com/ telling them it was down and asking if they knew if or when it would be back. They fixed it and thanked me for telling them it was down.
It seems like someone started this forum and is now otherwise occupied.

The adds part had not occurred to me but certainly someone is paying for the Domain Name. Was it you who mentioned something about the possibility that a Guardsman had started this forum and then been deployed?

Forum was done for several days
Just now noticed it reads "done" instead of "down."
Didn't even catch that early this morning

Re: Forum was done for several days
What I am amazed at was a hosting service that responded to someone other than the paying customer in regards to a problem with the site.
That is awesome service... usually companies only want to talk to the customer and make it all but impossible to submit anything to support without having a login for an account.

Re: Forum was done for several days
I agree. I was very surprised that anything happened. My guess is that they had done an upgrade or something and knew it was their fault, or at least it must be their responsibility to keep it operating.

I can ping it but the index.php returns "Service Unavailable", and gives

What's the problem?
