    I can't install uck either. I'm running Ubuntu 8.10 AMD64. The download link only has uck for i386. Is there an x64 available?

    $ sudo apt-get install uck
    Reading package lists... Done
    Building dependency tree
    Reading state information... Done
    E: Couldn't find package uck

      Hm, I changed the original post stating that you should go here http://sourceforge.net/projects/uck/ and download the deb.

      Check it again and come back in case of any questions

          Ugh, I am not UCK maintainer therefore I don't know. Best is the check the Ubuntu forums for UCK related error messages...

            Can uck be made to work on other Ubuntu derived distros as well? I figured I might give it a shot with Linux Mint. Or is it strictly *ubuntu?

              For that you are better off in the mint forum. I don't know, but it would be great if you could post your findings
