    CREATE custom boot screen?

So I know how to change the bootscreen to some already made ones, but I am not satisfied with any of the available ones. Can anyone point me to some resources that can teach me how to create custom boot screens?

This is the boot screen (not login, or desktop loading screens).

I did a quick google scan with no luck and I don't have time right now for any extensive searching.

    Thanks

    Splash screen ?

Usplash / KDE splash / Something else > CustomizeKubuntu

    Usplash
"Usplash is a userspace application that uses the Linux framebuffer interface
to draw a splash screen at boot."

    Splashy
"splashy - A complete user-space boot splash system"
A boot splash program that doesn't require patching the Linux kernel.
It paints graphic images directly to framebuffers using libdirectfb.

    Homepage: http://splashy.alioth.debian.org/
Splashy also has editor > SplashyCreator

    Note !
    Here splashy didn't work.

on November 03 "toad" told that > Topic: the new splashy has arrived

    Kde splash
"the animated image or screen that is displayed while KDE loads after you log in"

    Note !
If you are using KDE 4.1

    Grub splash
"Grub allows an image to be displayed behind the menu."

Package: kubuntu-grub-splashimages - grub splashimages for Kubuntu
