Where to find info about skinning various Linux programs?

Hi,

Anyone know where I should look to find info on skinning in Linux?

I am an artist but have never skinned before and am fairly new to Linux also, so I will need pretty detailed info if I am to be able to lend a hand to the community.

Any guidance here would be great!

KDE4 makes things a bit easier for non-programmers:

I think you will find the older kde stuff is very dependent on you knowing c/c++

Thank you for taking the time to reply and the info, I will take a look at that shortly.

I tried KDE4 for a couple of days, didn't care for it... mainly the KMenu and all the clicking you had to do when it is a two click maximum in 3.5.9, so I reverted. Might give it another go... since it is the latest and future...
