I have just installed 8.04 and have not installed any torrent program. What I can't understand is why my firewall, firestarter, is showing torrent traffic when I am not connected to the torrent system. Anyone know why torrents are running in the background?

It appears as though there are security issues with Kubuntu, I don't get this behavior with other distributions. under the circumstances Kubuntu is not for me. -

The default torrents program is ktorrent, if there are any torrents active I would imagine they will be through this so it may be worth looking there. However I would be very suprised if there actually are any torrents going unless you set them up yourself.Comment

The only thing I can think of is that it might be the update system inside Kubuntu, because when I was using 6.06 my torrent usage would go through the roof right before the update notifier came on.The early bird might get the worm, but it's the second mouse who always gets the cheese.Comment
