    uninstall inquiry

I recently purchased a computer containing Kubuntu preinstalled as the primary operating system. No other OS is present. I don't have any of the log-in information. When I attempted to install windows, it doesn't seem to recognize the existence of my windows installation disc. Any solution to my quarrel is welcome.

ttbomk, the windoze installation disc is a bootable disc.
make sure the boot order in your box's bios have the cdrom on top.
    gnu/linux is not windoze

or if you are tempted to try kubuntu, then you could simply reinstall it (without the account details the current install is useless). You can download a copy of the live cd from kubuntu.org (for free)
