    programming on linux

    Hi to everybody,

I would like to start to develop applications on linux , so I'm evaluating Python language to develop software: for this language I have to define the tools for developping GUI and IDE.

Are good the following choose :

IDE: IDLE Python developping environment or Eric4 or other ??

    GUI: Tkinter or other ??

    DB: MySQL or other ??

Please could give me some help in that choose considering I would like to develop simple business applications with GUI and free data base to manage data

    thanks a lot in advance.

    bye .....Sandro

KDevelop has an option for Python, you might want to try that. Also, you can start a python project with Qt, so GUI shouldn't be an issue.
