K Menu: Restore default category

Hi!

For some reason I deleted the "Games" category in the K Menu so that installed games won't get displayed in the menu anymore.

I tried to recreate the category in the KDE Menu Editor (New Item -> Name: "Games") but that doesn't work.

Is there a way to restore an original category in the K Menu?

If you want to revert back to an original unmodified K Menu, go to ~/.config/menus directory and move or remove the applications-kmenuedit.menu file that would be in there.

Hi. Thanks a lot, now I've got my category back but all those orphaned entries from already removed packages, too. (Lots of entries without icons and two dozen entries in "Lost+Found".)

Does anybody know how to get rid of those zombie entries once and for all?

I don't right off hand. The only way I know of is to edit your new KMenu and remove them.
