I'm looking for an application that monitors, tracks, and presents which computer on a NAT'ed home network is consuming bandwith. The problem I'm trying to resolve is intermittent slow network response. I would like to know if a particular system is consuming an inappropriate amount of bandwidth, which may suggest a problem such as a virus, bot, etc.
My home network is configured with both Linux & windows clients, about 10 total, cable modem providing NAT, and two network switches.
I would prefer that the application be able to run and present a graphic representation of each system's bandwidth usage within the LAN as well as out to the Internet.
Anyone know of such a application? Oh... I forgot one additional requirement, it needs to be freeware.
Thanks in advance
