    Thunderbird Update!! :)

After a while of seeing Thunderbird being moved around by Mozilla and also knowing that the Kubuntu GG Repos had an older version, I was beginning to wonder about my use of Thunderbird. Well, today there was an update for Thunderbird!

Thanks guys! I feel better about my Thunderbird!

I've used Thunderbird for over two years and it is my number one for emails.

      I too am a fan of thunderbird/lightning.

      You may find this interesting:

      enjoy
I downloaded it and tried to get it to run according to this:
      http://www.spicebird.com/en-US/Install_Linux

I had to rename the spicebird file to spicebird.sh but that did nothing.

Maybe it is because this is a i686 version and our generic kernel is i386?

Checked out Spicebird at the links, interesting but do not see advantages listed over Thunderbird, it's a beta anyway so I would leave it alone.

I don't do tar gun zips

I stick to what Adept package manager can offer

Isn't that what the newly organized Thunderbird group has set out to do? Interesting though.
Let us know what they say!

              Re: Thunderbird Update!!

              Okay I got an answer:
Do not rename it spicebird.sh, leave and you have to run spicebird in a terminal
or point a launcher (kmenu) to ~/Spicebird/spicebird-beta/spicebird

I think it is very nice to use and for a beta not bad. Some neat stuff like asking you which browser you want to use when clicking on a link. I think I am gong to play with this some more.

The theme is nice as well
