Can Mac apps be run on Linux?

You can run Linux apps on Linux (hopefully obviously ), Windows apps on Linux (via Wine), but does anybody know if Mac apps can be run on Linux? I'm not very familiar with OS X, but if there's a project out there that allows Mac apps to be run on Linux, I wouldn't mind giving it a try to become somewhat familiar with Macintosh software (I've also just been wondering if this is possible for a while).

I think the 'simple' answer is no. Apple's programs and OS architecture are more closed than even Windoze is.
Windows no longer obstructs my view.

I was thinking that, but hoping differently :P

      (I guess I'll just have to pay $2,000 for a new Mac . . . naah )

Hear ya. Concidering that one can, with a bit of searching and planning, get their desktop looking nearly like OS X, if not also including many applications that do much of the sames things as OS X, who would want to shell out that kind of money?
