    This is good. Note that it is really oriented toward windows users wanting open source. Many (but not all) of the suggested OS replacements are available for linux. As to cabos being a replacement for box.net, hunh? Not really, but cabos looks to be a nice program anyway. I am continuing to read through this very long list. For my money, most of the suggestions that exist for linux are among the best, some not necessarily THE best. This is a great start and a great resource. Thanks Fintan.
