This doesn't really fit anywhere else, and I'm pretty sure this issue has been run into by someone on this forum, so here goes:
I'm running WinXP and VMWare workstation 6 on an AMD Turion 64 X2 laptop and am running Kubuntu as a guest OS in VMware. Actually, this setup works quite well except for one big issue: pressing a key on the keyboard and releasing, no matter how quickly, will result in that key being displayed about 5 to 10 times for every keypress. This only happens in Linux guest OS running in VMware; Windows doesn't have this issue as a guest OS. All the posts on the VMware community forums that I could find deal with single-core processors, so those fixes don't exactly work on my dual-core machine. A workaround has been to turn off keyboard repeat in KDE desktop. Anyone run into this issue & have a fix?
